Redox + IMO: Where integration expertise meets clinical intelligence

Oct 27, 2025

This post was written by Rachel Witalec, Redox’s Chief Product Officer.

Redox and IMO Health are excited to announce the expansion of our strategic partnership to solve one of healthcare’s toughest data challenges: ensuring consistency and usability of data across sources. By standardizing and enriching data before it reaches the cloud, Redox and IMO Health can help standardize codes from disparate clinical sources, extract clinical terms from unstructured free text, and even write data back to source systems with updated codes if desired.

As Redox’s Chief Product Officer, I see firsthand how much time and energy is spent on wrangling unclean data. We believe the best data is the data you don’t have to fix later. To us, interoperability is a philosophy that means you have the data you want, when you need it, what you need it for.

This renewed partnership with IMO Health allows us to shift enrichment upstream, making clinical data more complete, usable, and AI-ready from the start. It’s not just about integration anymore; it’s about delivering data that’s ready to work for you.

What prompted us to re-launch and expand our collaboration?

First, we wanted to address a major customer need: updating our infrastructure to make the best data possible available at the point of ingestion. Evolving our architecture now allows us to support a more seamless, in-flight data enrichment experience using IMO Health’s trusted terminology. This streamlines implementation by eliminating redundant infrastructure and reducing unnecessary API calls.

Second, the world around us has changed. With the rapid adoption of AI, and the need to feed clean, high-quality data into models for better outcomes, these kinds of integrated flows are especially critical. Analytics folks have long said, “garbage in, garbage out.” Our collaboration combines Redox’s integration expertise with IMO Health’s clinical intelligence to deliver a simplified infrastructure that standardizes data as it moves—reducing expensive, time consuming cleanup and enabling organizations to use data more effectively from the start.

Our potential for impact here is enormous. Redox connects with more than 12,000 healthcare providers, payers, EHRs, health tech, and life sciences organizations, while IMO Health’s terminology is embedded in more than 4,500 U.S. hospitals. This broad reach means the partnership has the potential to raise the standard of clinical data quality across much of the U.S. healthcare system.

The Redox and IMO Health partnership is a significant step toward making healthcare data more usable, reliable, and actionable. By combining Redox’s connectivity and integration expertise with IMO Health’s extensive terminology and its LLM-assisted data enrichment capabilities, the partnership empowers healthcare organizations to unlock the full potential of their clinical data to fuel innovation and improve outcomes across the industry.
