30% network overlap
The number of PatientIQ customers that were already connected to Redox, further expediting the sales and onboarding process for new integrations.
10 provider organization integrations
The number of integrations PatientIQ has stood up with Redox since 2018.
Six unique EHRs
PatientIQ has used Redox to integrate with provider organizations on Cerner, eClinicalWorks, Epic, Greenway, NextGen, Athenahealth, and Picis.
“We work with hospitals on the bleeding edge of innovation where the physician-scientists realize that to truly innovate in medicine, they can’t do it alone. Research and innovation occur when information is shared. But it was too hard to share data between hospitals, resulting in sample sizes too small to be useful. The PatientIQ network makes it seamless to collect and share data on a de-identified basis for the benefit of many. What we’re trying to do is difficult. It couldn’t be done even a few years ago because EHRs and vendors couldn’t connect.”

PatientIQ success story
Leading hospitals partner with PatientIQ to empower their clinical teams with a modern, electronic health record (EHR) integrated analytics platform designed to monitor patients’ healing and recovery, send timely information related to treatment plans, and gain data-driven insights into how to best treat patients over time. The platform’s built-in analytics and biostatistical modeling engine generate actionable insights for quality improvement, research, and marketing purposes. Users can utilize the collected data to benchmark with other institutions. The software comes with full-service support and is easily configurable around organization-specific workflows.
In nearly every other industry – whether it’s professional sports, financial services, or advanced engineering – big data is leveraged to improve decision-making and efficiency. Meanwhile, the healthcare industry lags behind other sectors in these capabilities.
At PatientIQ, they solve this problem one healthcare provider at a time.
PatientIQ created an automated, big data learning platform that can be used for driving continuous quality improvement toward patient care over time. From there, they allow like-minded healthcare providers to collaborate and share insights.
The end result? A powerful data-sharing network that will inform predictive models and risk scores, and ultimately guide providers in making the best possible decisions using the most relevant information.
Clinical teams use PatientIQ’s actionable data to identify at-risk patients, prevent complications, design quality initiatives to improve patient care, and launch research studies to help drive medicine forward. Healthcare institutions rely on PatientIQ for accurate and compliant data collection and reporting.
Originally a small team, PatientIQ required an integration partner who could carry the complex burden of HL7 and ADT integrations, allowing them to create a single API and offer universal compatibility to any EHR. PatientIQ chose to partner with Redox for its network effect, core strength in integrations, improved efficiencies, and technical lift.As a Redox partner, PatientIQ can onboard new customers in as little as two weeks. More than 30% of the time, Redox already has an existing connection with PatientIQ’s prospects, which shortens PatientIQ’s sales cycle and onboarding process.
Case study
Healthcare data should be used to save and improve lives—but it’s stuck
PatientIQ is an automated, big data learning platform that arms doctors with the data they need to make better decisions and improve patient outcomes. Hospitals, academic medical centers, community centers, and industry partners use PatientIQ to measure patient care quality, automate care pathways, and collect patient-reported outcomes.
PatientIQ also enables healthcare providers to seamlessly collaborate, resulting in a data-sharing network that informs benchmarking, predictive models, and risk scores.

“We work with hospitals on the bleeding edge of innovation where the physician-scientists realize that to truly innovate in medicine, they can’t do it alone,” Gitelis says. “Research and innovation occur when information is shared. But it was too hard to share data between hospitals, resulting in sample sizes too small to be useful. Fractured data and messy integrations stall progress
PatientIQ recognized that a network of shared information wouldn’t work if they couldn’t support every EHR. They needed universal compatibility with any system they encountered—not only to make the network possible, but to create immediate ROI for their customers after a smooth launch.
PatientIQ sought an integration partner who would quickly and securely plug into any EHR. They wanted a solution that allowed them to build once and scale anywhere. Most importantly, they needed a credible product that their customers trusted to be secure.
PatientIQ chooses Redox for their integration expertise and network effect
“We didn’t have the expertise to sit at the table with the big guys at first,” Skuros says. “Being the new kids on the block was an uphill battle. Our team was small. We needed expertise fast to know how to plug into and navigate IT departments, to speak their language and protocols. Our connection with Redox gave us that in-house knowledge immediately.” Utilizing Redox, PatientIQ was able to modernize their tech stack quickly, allowing them to scale quickly and sell with a growth mindset.
As PatientIQ grew, Redox continued as part of their infrastructure, monitoring feeds and making sure all connections were strong. Redox connections also saved PatientIQ’s customers time, cutting 2 to 3 weeks off of every integration timeline. Where their competitors historically failed on integrations, PatientIQ made it a value-add to have an easy onboarding process for partners to use their software. By partnering with Redox and prioritizing efficient integrations for their health system customers, PatientIQ was able to overcome one of their primary objections: cost.
“Because we can check the box on integrations by using Redox— who is an established leader in that space — our customers are more confident. They know they can immediately begin capturing value from our software without months of integration work,” explains Michael Casey, PatientIQ’s Director of Business Development. “This is especially useful when their biggest sticking point is the cost of plugging in new technology. Customers acknowledge that PatientIQ’s use case is valuable, and partnering with Redox makes it seem more attainable without having to move mountains.”
The Redox Network Effect contributed to PatientIQ’s growth by already having connections with at least 30% of their customers.
“It would have been too much for us to get it all done with a small team,” Skuros says. “We partnered with Redox when we needed them most. And today, our partnership remains a strong, mutually beneficial relationship. Redox helps us significantly reduce the onboarding timeline for a hospital when they’re already connected, and we introduce Redox to large medical academic centers. Partnering with Redox is truly a one to many connection.”
PatientIQ and Redox: Making data more useful
PatientIQ believes in a vision of healthcare that connects physicians and researchers, arming them with the data necessary to make better decisions that improve patient outcomes. However, that vision can not be realized with separate silos of fractured data and messy integrations.
“Our vision only works when we can unlock the power of tech like Redox, plugging into systems to make data more useful in an aggregate sense,” Skuros says.
“We can do more today than we could 18 months ago,” Gitelis says. “Redox should be commended because they accelerated the transition to where people no longer view healthcare data as something that should remain siloed when it can be shared securely and with consent.”
“At the end of the day, we’re building a world-class team to point medical talent at something meaningful and important,” Skuros says. “We spend every waking hour driving that mission forward.”

“Partnering with Redox early on allowed us to focus on building our core patient engagement engine and analytics autopilot instead of hyper-specific EHR permutations across vendors. We partnered with Redox when we needed them most. Today, it remains a strong and mutually beneficial relationship.”
